A Heavy Rain Warning remains in force for interior, Northern and Eastern parts of Viti Levu, Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti Groups.

The Nadi Weather Office says this is due to a trough of low pressure which lies slow moving over the Fiji Group.

Occasional rain, heavy at times and a few thunderstorms with rain gradually easing and clearing later today.

Localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low lying and flood prone areas.
