A flash flood warning remains in force for all low lying and flood prone areas of Vanua Levu while a flash flood alert is now in force for all low lying and flood prone areas in Nadi through to Lautoka, Ba, Tavua, Rakiraki and Korovou.

An active trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain affects Fiji.

The Nadi Weather Office also says a heavy rain warning remains in force for Fiji.

It adds heavy rain can cause flash flooding of low lying and flood prone areas during persistent localised heavy falls, lightning strikes during thunderstorms, flooding of small rivers, creeks, crossings and landslides.
