Flash flood warning now in place
A flash flood warning is now in place for low-lying areas around the country.

The duty weather forecaster said two low pressure systems are lying over the group which is expected to bring in occasional heavy rainfall in Southern Viti Levu and Vanua Levu parts of the country throughout today.

Both systems are expected to merge today as flash flooding of low lying areas is possible.

Rainfall is expected to ease in the southern and northern parts by tomorrow however afternoon showers will continue in the Western Division.

Meanwhile, heavy rainfall is being experienced in Southern Viti Levu and Vanua Levu this morning however there are no reports of flooding.
