Flash Flood Warning now in force for Tavua, Yaqara and Rakiraki River

A Flash Flood Warning is now in force for Northern Viti Levu including Tavua, Yaqara and Rakiraki River while a Flash Flood Alert remains in force for the entire Fiji group.

The Nadi Weather Office says the flash flooding is caused by isolated heavy rain.

A Heavy Rain Warning remains in force for the entire Fiji group.

The Weather Office says an active trough of low pressure, with associated cloud, showers and rain, is expected to affect the group over the next few days.

They say there will be occasional rain, with isolated heavy rain and isolated thunderstorms across most areas.

A Strong Wind Warning also remains in force for the land areas of Macuata, Northern Bua, Cikobia and nearby smaller islands, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, and the Lau and Lomaiviti groups.
