First meeting for new FRU board currently underway

The first Board meeting of the newly elected FRU Board members is currently underway at the Rugby House.

CEO Keni Dakuidreketi has confirmed that top of the agenda will be the election of the new Chairman, amongst the new Board members to replace Viliame Gavoka.

Dakuidreketi has also confirmed that the new members will also be introduced to operational issues at FRU House and other matters that need to be discussed.

He clarified that the amendment of the constitution will not be dealt with in this meeting, however it will discussed and amended in a Special General Meeting, at a specific date to be confirmed by the new Board.
 
The newly elected FRU Board include Colonel Mosese Tikoitoga, Rupeni Nacewa, Salacieli Naivilawasa, Commander Joeli Cawaki, Joeli Baledrokadroka, Napolioni Batimala, Ilaitia Tuisese, Cama Raimuria and Carl Cameron.

Also elected to the vacant post of FRU President was Ratu Sikeli Tasere of Nadroga.

The meeting starts at 9:30am this morning.
