First-ever digital display parking meters launched in Savusavu town

In a bid to make access to parking meters in town more easier for the people of Savusavu, Minister for Housing and Local Government Maciu Nalumisa launched the first ever digital display parking meters in the Northern Division.

While launching the meters, Nalumisa highlighted that the nine parking meters on the main street, and one in the foreshore car park, will not just manage traffic but also provide easier access to businesses in town, which is essential in their vitality.

He further says the 10 meters are expected to accommodate around 45 vehicles daily, generating to an estimated annual income of $100,000 for the Savusavu town council.
