The first batch of 5,000 Fijian e‑passports has arrived into the country.
Training for the staff and the installation of the new system will begin in a few days time.
The machines were supposed to start the issuance of the e‑passports from last Monday but the process was delayed. The e‑passports are expected to be issued this month.
