Fire destroys classrooms in Penang Sangam High School
About eight classrooms in two old wooden buildings of Penang Sangam High School in Rakiraki have been destroyed by a fire early this morning.

Eye witnesses say the fire started around 4am.

Firefighters from Rakiraki arrived first at the scene however, a fire tender from Bhimas Investment assisted in controlling the fire.

A computer lab, library and canteen in the wooden building have been saved. 

Classrooms in the new building on the other side of the road were not affected.

The cause of fire is yet to be established.
