Fire Rugby 7s Coach Akuila Nasi says the club will be cheering for one of Fiji’s upcoming star’s, Vuiviawa Naduvalo after making headlines in his international debut at the Singapore 7s.

The man from Semo Village in Nadroga plays for the Fire 7s team.

He scored 10 tries in his debut tournament and was the player of the final.

Nasi says the management team was overwhelmed by the news that two of their players have joined the national side since it’s a long time that a member from their club has made it to the national side.

The rugby club is also preparing a small celebration for two of their players, Tira Wilagi and Naduvalo, when the Fiji 7s team returns from Vancouver 7s this week.

The Singapore 7s trip was Naduvalo’s first trip overseas.

Fiji is in Pool A with USA, England and Kenya at the Vancouver 7s.

New Zealand is leading Pool B with Samoa, Wales and Japan while Australia, South Africa, Spain and Canada are in Pool C.

Pool D includes Ireland, Argentina, France and Scotland.

The Vancouver 7s will be held on Saturday and Sunday.
