Glen Finau of Suva Grammar School

Dreams have come true for Glen Finau of Suva Grammar School after winning gold in the Senior boys' discus throw at the Coca-Cola Suva Zone 2 with a throw of 40.98 metres.

The Year 12 student told fijivillage News that in past years, his only wish was to win a gold medal for his family and his coach, who have supported him throughout his challenging days.

The student, who hails from Nakeleyaga, Kabara in Lau, says he aims to win gold in the Coca-Cola Games this year and to qualify for the Oceania Championship that will be held at the HFC Stadium from the 4th to the 12 of June this year.

Noa Sorovakatini of Marist Brothers High School took silver with a throw of 38.33 metres, and John Jikoibau of Grammar won bronze with a throw of 34.18 metres.
