Final Vatukoula Gold Mine payouts to be completed in 2025–2026 financial year

Final Vatukoula Gold Mine payouts to be completed in 2025–2026 financial year

190 former Vatukoula Gold Mine workers who received their first payout last year will receive their second and final instalment next month.

Minister for Employment Agni Deo Singh says the remaining 172 eligible individuals from the 362 names submitted are yet to receive their first payment, as they are currently going through the probate process via the High Court.

Singh assures families that payments will be made as soon as the required probates are submitted, and no family will face unnecessary delays.

He says the Ministry understands the growing impatience among those waiting and urges families who have not yet submitted their probates to do so quickly to help speed up the process.

Singh adds his Ministry is committed to ensuring that every eligible family receives their rightful payout.
