Fijiana to play PNG in Oceania 7s final, winner qualifies for the Olympics

The Fiji Airways Fijiana side will play Papua New Guinea at 9.30 tonight in the Oceania Rugby Championship Women’s 7s final.

If the Fijiana win the final, they qualify for the Paris Olympics 2024.

The Fijiana put on a dominant performance thrashing Samoa 42-0 in their semi-final.

They ran in four tries in the first half to Reapi Uluinasau, Raijieli Daveua, and Alowesi Nakoci.

The Fijiana led 28-0 at half time.

They also received two yellow cards for dangerous tackles.

In earlier games, the Fijiana thrashed American Samoa 68-0, thumped the Cook Islands 50-0 and decimated Tonga 40-5 in their pool games.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Airways Men’s side will play New Zealand at 5.18 this afternoon in their semi final.
