Fijiana thrashes France 29-7 in round 2 of the Mini 7s tournament

The Fijiana 7s team have found their rhythm after thrashing France 29-7 in round 2 of the Fiji Airways Mini International 7s at Albert Park.

The Fijiana players connected well with each other on the field, while Lavena Cavuru set-up three tries.

With the help from Reapi Ulunisau, Younis Bese and Vani Buleki, the side managed to score 5 tries.

Meanwhile, the Black ferns defeated Australia 24-14 in round 2 of the tournament.

The Fijiana 7s side had earlier lost to the Black Ferns 22-5, while France beat Australia 28-12.

Looking at round 3, Fiji will play Australia at 4pm while the Black Ferns face France at 4.30pm.

The Fiji Airways Mini 7s will continue with another 3 rounds of competition tomorrow, beginning with the Fijiana facing France at 9.30am, Australia to play against the Black Ferns at 9.50am, Fijiana facing Australia at 1pm and New Zealand to face France at 1.20pm.

In the last round of the 2 day's tournament, Fijiana will take on the Black Ferns at 4pm while Australia to face France at 4.30pm.

The Fiji Airways Mini 7s will have its second set of competition in Lautoka next Friday and Saturday
