The Vodafone Fijiana 15s side left it a little bit too late as they went down fighting 29-24 to Japan in their first test match that was held in Fukuoka, Japan last night.

The Japanese side caught the Fijiana team off guard in the first 40 minutes of the game scoring 3 tries to lead 19-0 at half time.

The Fijiana side came back in the second half by scoring 2 tries from Mere Naivosa and Adita Miliana with Luisa Tisolo converting both tries.

Japan extended their lead to 29-14 with two more unconverted tries before the Fijiana side scored two more unconverted tries for the final score.

Fijiana will take on Japan in their second test match at Chichibunomiya stadium, Japan this Saturday.
