The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s side’s hopes of making it to the semi-final of the Hamilton 7s suffered a massive blow after being beaten 17-12 by China in their second pool match.

Both sides were locked 12-12 before China scored a try in injury time to steal the victory.

Raijeli Daveua and Tokasa Seniyasi scored a try each for the Fijiana.

The Fijiana had to play most of the match with 6 players after Roela Radiniyavuni was shown a red card.

They will now have to beat New Zealand in their last pool match to retain any hopes of qualification.

The Fijiana will face New Zealand at 9.35am tomorrow.
