Fijiana 7s team continue to create history on their way up

The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s team is currently in second place on the Women’s 7s Series points table with 18 points while Australia leads with 20 points and France is third with 16 points.

They are the first Fijian women’s 7s team to reach the final of a World 7s Series tournament.

They lost to Australia 22-7 in the final of the first Dubai 7s tournament yesterday morning.

On their road to the final, the team only lost one match against Russia and thrashed Great Britain 28-5 to qualify for the final.

The Fijiana 7s team is the top seed in their pool for the second Dubai 7s tournament.

They are pooled with France, Great Britain, USA and Ireland.

Australia is in Pool A with Russia, Brazil, Canada and Spain.

The second Dubai 7s tournament will have spectators and will be held from Friday to Sunday.
