The Fijiana 7s team beat Canada 26-12 in their second group match of the Tokyo Olympics last night.

This is an impressive first win at the Tokyo Olympics for the Fijiana 7s team as Canada had won bronze in the last Olympics in Rio.

The Fijiana’s tries were scored by Reapi Uluinasau, Ana Maria Naimasi and Viniana Riwai.

Ulunisau scored the opening try against Canada in just 14 seconds, the fastest try of Tokyo 2020, so far.

Fiji went down to France in a closely contested first match, 12-5.

The Fijiana 7s team will need to beat Brazil in their last pool match at 12pm today.

The Women's 7s quarterfinals will begin at 7.30pm today, the semifinals will start at 2pm tomorrow while the final is at 9pm Saturday.
