The Fijiana 15s are excited for tomorrow morning’s Rugby World Cup game, anticipating a great atmosphere, strong crowd support and the opportunity to showcase their skills and talent on the world stage.

Head Coach, Ioan Cunningham says the players are looking forward to the match, as it will be their first game against Canada.

He is urging the Fijian community in York to come out in numbers and support the team.

Fijiana 15s hooker Bitila Tawake says they have prepared well this time, with more time dedicated to training compared to the last World Cup, noting that there is now greater interest in women’s rugby than before.

Tawake adds that the way England has been promoting the women’s game is a huge boost for them, especially as they come from a Pacific Island nation.

The Fijiana will face Canada at 4.30am tomorrow in York, London.
