Fijian soldiers were not kidnapped-RFMF
The military confirmed this hour that the ten Fijian soldiers of the United Nations Multinational Force and Observers, in Sinai were not kidnapped by the Bedouin tribesmen earlier today.

RFMF Land Force Commander, Colonel Mosese Tikoitoga said that it was a roadblock incident, and media reports from BBC and other overseas outlets are distorted.

He said the tribesmen stopped the soldiers at a checkpoint and fired warning shots.

However intense negotiations were held for more than one hour and the Fijian soldiers were allowed to go through.

We will have more later today.
