The Fijian Government is committed to assisting and supporting every effort to help youths realise their dreams.

Minister for Youth and Sports Parveen Bala highlighted this while speaking at the Prefects Induction Ceremony held at Lomolomo Public School in Lautoka.

The Minister says the Government has provided free education for schools and all qualifying students through the Tertiary Scholarships and Loans Service.

He adds that to lead means that a good leader is not someone who throws their weight around and has very little to show, but good leaders lead from the front.

Bala says a good leader will want to be the agent of change for their colleagues.

He urged the prefects to do what is right and be determined, be focused, and choose their own goals.
