The Digicel Fiji Sevens team qualified for the cup quarterfinals of the Dubai 7's after a nail biting 14-10 victory over Kenya in their last pool match earlier this morning.
Joji Ragamate scored a try in the first half to give Fiji the lead at halftime.
Kenya came back strongly in the second half to trail by just two points as Fiji's Ilai Tinai copped a yellow card.
Naval officer Isikeli Vuruna came off the bench and sealed the victory for Fiji with a try underneath the post.
Meanwhile, earlier on Fiji beat Spain 14-0 and Scotland 22-14 in its two other pool matches.
Fiji will take on France at 7.50pm in the first cup quarterfinal.
In other Cup quarterfinals, Samoa will play Wales at 8.12pm, Canada will take on Kenya at 8.34pm and New Zealand will take on Portugal at 8.56pm.
The Cup semifinals start at 2.07am tomorrow while the Cup final will be played at 5.33am.
