A meeting of Commonwealth Education Ministers that will be focused on building climate resilience through Education will be held in Fiji next year.
Fiji will host the 20th Conference of Commonwealth Education Ministers from 19th to 23rd February in Nadi.
Discussions on climate resilience through Education will focus on countries like Fiji that are being directly affected by climate change.
Acting Prime Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says there could be a possibility of discussions at the meeting being linked to climate financing for the Education sector.
This means funding for schools to cope with climate change and even relocation funding for schools that are being affected.
The logo and website of the conference were launched today by the Acting Prime Minister.
