The Digicel Fiji Sevens Team is likely to field the same lineup that lost to England 26-21 in the last pool game when they will face South Africa in the quarterfinals tonight.
Jerry Burotu, Sitiveni Waqa and Watisoni Votu will start in the forwards while captain Emosi Vucago, Miti Nacagilevu, Nasoni Roko and either Saimoni Nuku or Josefata Bole in the backline.
While the defense has been the weakness in the side, coach Iliesa Tanivula remains confident that they can still be a force to reckon with in the quarterfinals.
Tanivula said they have to work on their set pieces and get it right from the opening whistle to be able to unsettle their opponents.
Fiji in their opening pool game beat Portugal 31 7 and also defeated France 35 5 in the second game.
Meanwhile, Dubai Sevens defending champion and New Zealand Sevens coach Gordon Tietjens said his boys need to lift their performance as the road gets tougher today.
New Zealand will meet Wales in the quarterfinals and according to Tietjens, they cannot be play defensive rugby in this crucial match as his boys did in the pool matches yesterday.
Looking at the quarterfinals tonight, at 7.48pm Samoa will take on USA, Fiji will face South Africa at 8.10pm, Australia plays England at 8.32pm and New Zealand up against Wales at 8.54pm.
