It will be the top of the World Sevens Series semifinals at the Wellington 7s when leaders the Vodafone Fiji 7s will face South Africa in the semifinals this afternoon.

The national side beat USA 21-12 in the last quarter finals.

Fiji fought their way back in the first half as USA strikes first in the fourth minute.

Speedster Carlin Isles outpaced Savenaca Rawaca and captain Osea Kolinisau to get the Americans first on the board.

Just when the hooter had sounded for half time, Isake Katonibau picked up a lose ball and ran 60 metres to score under the post which gave Fiji a boost heading into second half.

In the second half, the little magician Jerry Tuwai broke through the USA defence from a base of a scrum leaving USA's captain Madison Hughes off his feet.

Fiji's third try was scored by lanky forward Semi Kunatani in the 6th minute.

Meanwhile South Africa beat Australia in the third quarters 26-14.

The Cup semi finals start at 4.27pm while the Cup final kicks off at 7.30pm.
