Fiji to clash with Aust in quarters
Fiji will meet Australia at 1:28pm today in the Cup quarterfinals of the Japan sevens after beating Portugal in it's last pool game 34-7.

The national side played with some passion and commitment compared to their previous game against Spain.

Donasio Ratubuli scored Fiji's first try before Portugal leveled the scores after some lapse of concentration in defense.

Hong Kong 7s player of the tournament Samisoni Viriviri crossed over for their second try after being set up by Emosi Mulevoro before Jasa Veremalua touched down for Fiji's third try after some aggressive counter rucking by Nemani Nagusa.

Leone Nakarawa scored after coming off the bench in the second half before Benito Eremasi scored two successive tries.

Fiji earlier defeated South Africa 29-12 and Spain 17-5.

In other quarterfinals, New Zealand will meet USA at 1:50pm, Samoa will play South Africa at 2:12pm and Scotland face France at 2:34pm.

The Cup semis will start at 5.08pm and the Cup final is at 7.33pm.
