The Vodafone Fiji 7s team has thrashed Japan 45-7 in their opening match of the Wellington 7s.

Fiji scored 7 tries to Japan’s one try.

Robust wing Savenaca Rawaca scored twice in the match to help the side crush Japan.

Vatemo Ravouvou scored the first try of the match after 2 minutes into the game.

Others who got on the scoring sheet included Captain Osea Kolinisau, Apisai Domolailai, Semi Kunatani and Jasa Veremalua.

Fiji will now face Wales at 2.38 this afternoon and take on Argentina at 5.46 this afternoon

Meanwhile England fought hard to edge France 17-14 this morning after a last minute try from Dan Bibby.

USA also beat Samoa in the last minute with a try from Carlin Isles to win 24-20.

The Cup quarters will start at 12.02pm tomorrow, the Cup semis start at 4.27pm while the Cup final kicks off at 7.30pm.
