The Fiji Airways Men’s 7s team put on a clinic for the Oceania team as they beat them 31-12 in their third pool game at the Oceania Rugby Championship in Brisbane.

Oceania capitalised on a Fiji mistake in the second minute and scored first to lead 5-0.

Fiji replied with two converted tries to Waisea Nacuqu and Iowane Teba to lead 12-0 capitalising on a yellow card shown to Oceania.

A brilliant chip and chase from Josefa Talacolo saw Fiji adding more points to the score board.

Fiji led 19-5 at half time

Josese Batirerega and Terio Tamani touched down for Fiji in the second half with Tamani converting one off the tries to extend the lead to 31-5.

Oceania had the last say but it was too little too late as Fiji won 31-12.

Fiji play Australia at 6.52pm in their last pool game.

In earlier games, Fiji thrashed Niue 47-5 and then beat New Zealand 12-5 last night.

The Men’s semi finals are at 3.28pm tomorrow with the final at 5.18pm.

Meanwhile the Fiji Airways Fijiana team will play American Samoa in their last pool game at 4.18pm.

The Fijiana thrashed Cook Islands 50-0 and then defeated Tonga 40-5.

The women’s cup semi final is at 2.44pm tomorrow with the final at 6.24pm.
