The Fiji U20 side went down 53-7 to England this morning.

They showed bits of brilliance in the first half with halfback Philip Baselala linking well with fly-half Isaiah Ravula but they just could not hold on to the ball at times.

England led 22-7 at half-time.

The Baby Flying Fijians need to show a bit more discipline as they were leaking penalties and played 60 minutes of the game with 14 men after being shown 2 yellow cards, one to centre Maika Kamikamica and another one to prop Moses McGoon who also scored their only try.

England’s tries were scored by Nye Thomas, Nathan Jibulu, Toby Thame, Nathan Michelow, Cassius Cleaves, Tristan Woodman and they were also awarded a penalty try.

Fiji’s next game is against Ireland next Wednesday at 11.30pm

In other results, France beat New Zealand 35-14, Ireland edged Australia 30-10, Italy defeated hosts South Africa 34-26, Georgia thrashed Argentina 20-0
