The Vodafone Fiji 7s team has lost to USA 19-26 in the third place play-off of the London 7s.
USA was leading 19-7 at half time before captain Madison Hughes scored the Americans winning try from a kick and chase.
Fiji's try was scored by Jasa Veremalua while Kitione Taliga scored twice.
Meanwhile Fiji retained the 2015/2016 World Sevens Series title after they booked their place in the cup quarterfinals yesterday.
South Africa is currently playing Scotland in the final.
