Tahiti has beaten the Digicel Baby Bula Boys 3-0 in the OFC Under 17 Championship Bronze Medal Playoff at the HFC Bank Stadium this afternoon.

Both teams were locked at nil-all at halftime.

Vaitea Seguy, Titouan Guillemant and Ariiheivarau Tama scored for Tahiti.

Fiji tried to narrow the margin late on, Ibraheem Afazal trying his luck with a long-range free-kick but it was to no avail as Tahiti held firm to finish third for the second time in succession.

Fiji settled for a record sixth fourth place finish in competition history.

Meanwhile, New Caledonia will face New Zealand in the final at 7 tonight.

New Zealand and New Caledonia have both qualified for the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Peru in November this year.
