Fiji commits to deepening trade and investment relations with the United States.

This was highlighted by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade, Co-operatives, SMEs and Communications, Manoa Kamikamica while meeting the United States Commerce Secretary, Gina Raimondo, and Deputy United States Trade Representative, Ambassador Sarah Bianchi, during the Pacific Economic Framework Ministerial Meeting in Detroit, United States.

The high-level meeting marked a significant step towards strengthening bilateral ties and expanding economic cooperation between Fiji and the United States.

During the meeting, Kamikamica emphasized the potential for mutually beneficial collaboration in various sectors and the importance of the Indo-Pacific region as an engine for global economic growth.

The deputy Prime Minister also expressed his appreciation for the United States continued support for Fiji's economic development efforts and the need for increased foreign direct investment to fuel sustainable growth.
