Sport is an event that unites and sustains the desire of the people, bringing togetherness.

Following the reaffirmed commitment between Fiji and New Zealand, the President of Fiji, Ratu Wiliame Katonivere, and the New Zealand Governor-General, Dame Cindy Kiro, strengthened sports partnerships and aligned government efforts with the Sustainable Development Goals, the 2050 Blue Pacific Continent strategy, and the IOC Agenda 2020+5 strategies.

They emphasize the focus on the theme, Radiant and Resilient: Advancing Sustainability, Unity, and Prosperity in the Pacific through Sport.

They add the event brought together international sports and government leaders who share a desire to advance sustainability, unity, and prosperity in the Pacific.

Meanwhile, the Oceania National Olympic Committee and the International Relations Commission, in partnership with the New Zealand Olympic Committee, hosted a networking event at New Zealand House in Paris, France.
