The Digicel Fiji 7s team will meet South Africa again in the quarter final of the Australia 7s at 3.20pm after winning all of their pool games yesterday.
Fiji defeated USA in their first Pool game 41-5, then proved too strong for Tonga with a 33-14 win however the win against Tonga cost the side as it resulted in Osea Kolinisau taken off field with a broken jaw.
In the last pool game, Fiji had too much power against hosts Australia with a 26-21 win.
Australia led 14-7 at half time with Fiji's lone try from half-back Emosi Vucago however captain Watisoni Votu closed the score-line in the second half against Australia for the locals to lead 14-12.
Miti Nacagilevu once again increased the score to 19-14 with a 3rd try before Joeli Lutumailagi 4th try for a 26-14 lead before the final score to read 26-21 win.
Coach Iliesa Tanivula said they will have to lift their game against a South African side that took them to the wire last Sunday in Hong Kong.
In the quarter final at 2.36pm, New Zealand will take on Argentina, Samoa against Australia at 2.58pm, Fiji and South Africa at 3.20pm and England will play Wales at 3.42pm.
The first Cup semi final will start at 6.26pm while the second semi final will be at 6.48pm and the Cup final will be at 8.50pm.
Results of some of the pool game, Samoa beat South Africa 26-17 after the Boks opted to field a second string team with avenge in mind in the quarter final against Fiji today.
USA defeated Tonga 24-12, New Zealand beat Kenya 34-14, England edge Argentina 21-19.
