Fiji Pearls beat PNG Pepe 74-32

The Fiji Pearls have started the Vodafone Oceania Netball World Cup Qualifier with a 74-32 win against PNG Pepes at the Vodafone Arena last night.

The Pearls started strong in the first-half with a 40-14 lead.

They led 15-7 in the first quarter, 54-25 in the third quarter and 74-32 in the last quarter.

Captain Alisi Naqiri acknowledged how the way the new players played and also the debutants for stepping up.

The Fiji Pearls will need to finish in the top two to secure their spot at next year’s Netball World Cup in Cape Town.

Fiji will now meet Tonga at 7.30 tonight in their second match.
