Fiji Men’s and Women's Touch rugby sides win bronze at Pacific Games

Team Fiji Men’s and Women's Touch Rugby have won bronze in their respective games at the Pacific Games.

The men's team beat Niue 5-2 in the bronze playoff after losing to Samoa 8-5 in the semi final.

The women’s team beat Cook Islands 7-6 in the bronze playoff after going down to Samoa 6-2 in the semi final.

Team Fiji will participate in the Mixed Touch Rugby event where they will meet Samoa at 10.20am today, they will then take on Niue at 1.40pm and Solomon Islands at 5pm.

Fiji will then play PNG at 10.20am Friday and meet Cook Islands at 2.30pm Friday in their final round robin match.

Team Fiji currently sits in 5th place with 14 gold, 20 silver and 29 bronze.

New Caledonia is leading with 70 gold, 44 silver and 45 bronze, while Australia is in second place with 42 gold, 20 silver and 8 bronze.
