The Fiji Men’s Beach Volleyball Team 1 has won their first match in the Continental Cup in Auckland this afternoon defeating Samoa 1 by 2 sets to none.
Fiji is being represented by 2 Men’s and 2 Women’s teams.
Wayne Fisher and Sairusi Cavula are Team 1 while Filimoni Serevi and Vilimone Rokomurimuri are in Team 2.
The Women's team is made up of Gloria Taylor and Teupola Uluilakeba in team 1 and Vunisei Lua and Talica Rowaro in team 2.
This tournament will also feature teams like New Zealand, Australia, Tuvalu, Solomon Island and Samoa.
The Continental Cup is the first round of qualification for teams wanting to make Olympic qualification.
