Fiji Men's 7s team gets first jab of COVID-19 vaccine
Fiji Men's National 7s team took their first jab of the COVID-19 vaccine at the Vodafone Arena.

The Fiji Men's National 7s team took their first jab of the COVID-19 vaccine at the Vodafone Arena this afternoon.

Coach Gareth Baber says taking the vaccine is very important as it will keep the players safe when travelling overseas.

He says they do not want to get the players sick since most of them are aiming for the tournament in Japan.

Baber adds people can expect the naming of the team at the end of June or early July.

The national team will be travelling to Australia to play against Australia and New Zealand.

The 2021 Olympic Games will be held from the 23rd of July to 8th August.
