As search for the seven men from Gau continues, the management of Fiji Maritime Surveillance Rescue Coordination Centre and Police will meet later today to identify their next step for the search.

Director of Fiji Maritime Surveillance Rescue Coordination Centre Sairusi Colati says that RFNF Kikau and Police are continuing their search today.

Colati says that they are aware of the current weather warnings in place and this is why they will call for a meeting to see what they can do next.

He also says that another aerial search by the Rescue flight team was deployed this morning.

The seven that are missing are Adriu George, Alipate Ross, Navitalai Bale, Ananaiasa Koroi, Filimoni Tuisinu, Josevata Bolakateu and Livai Bulimaibau.

They have been missing since Wednesday after failing to return to Nawaikama Village in Gau after shopping trip in Levuka, Ovalau.

A boat matching the description was located yesterday by the Navy Search and Rescue flight team however, none of the seven were traced to be anywhere near the boat.
