Fiji Kulas captain Jotivini Tabua is urging fans to come out in numbers and support the team as they take on the Solomon Islands tonight in the OFC Women’s Nations Cup.
In an interview with fijivillage Sports, Tabua says the presence of local supporters will create a powerful atmosphere, especially for the younger players who will be making their debut.
Originally from Vanua Levu, the 29-year-old started her football journey in primary school and has become a key figure in the national team setup.
She says it wasn’t easy to manage work commitments with national duties, but she remains committed to guiding the team.
Tabua also shared that she had stepped away from the sport for two years due to a knee injury but made a strong return to lead the side.
The Fiji Kulas face the Solomon Islands at 7 tonight at HFC Bank Stadium.
