The Fiji Football Association is now awaiting an announcement from the Fiji Sports Commission on their proposal for football to resume without spectators from early October.

President, Rajesh Patel says all registered footballers around the country have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and they expect all players to be fully vaccinated by this month.

He says they will be ready to resume football by 1st October without spectators.

Patel says they are also trying to get national team players into camp for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.

He says there is a possibility all the teams from the Oceania region may travel to Qatar to play the qualifiers.
