Fiji Cancer Society, WOWS Kids Fiji & CWM’s Oncology Unit get $5k each from Vodafone Fiji

The Fiji Cancer Society, WOWS Kids Fiji and the CWM’s Oncology Unit received a donation of $5,000 each today from Vodafone Fiji to continue the work they do to support cancer patients.

During the outbreak of COVID-19 in the last few months when health services were overwhelmed, the Fiji Cancer Society and WOWS Kids Fiji opened their offices to ensure cancer patients continued to receive chemotherapy.

Consultant Physician at the CWM’s Oncology Unit Doctor Ane Atalifo says the two organisations were a lifeline for cancer patients during this period.

There are 733 registered cancer patients from 2018 to date.

43 breast cancer cases have been recorded so far this year.
