Fiji Barbarians wins Uprising 7s

The Digicel Fiji Barbarians have won the third Uprising Fiji International 7's tournament beating the FMF Fiji Warriors 31-12 in the Cup final.

The Fiji Babas started strongly, held possession and got three tries through Ilai Tinai, Osea Kolinisau and Jasa Veremalua.

Nemani Nagusa got one try back for the Fiji Warriors but they still trailed 17-7 at half-time.

Peni Ravai and Manasa Naiyagi scored two more tries for the Fiji Barbarians to get a 31-12 win $25,000 prize money.   

Setefano Cakau was also named the player of the tournament.

Meanwhile, Australian Thunderbolts won the plate competition after they beat the Samoan Barbarians 19-14.

URF Army beat Tokatoka Barbarian 26-0 to win the Bowl final while LICI Police thrashed FWCC Red Rock 33-7 in the Shield final.

In the Cup semifinals, the Digicel Fiji Barbarians thrashed the New Zealand Emerging 7's team by 33-7 and in the second cup semifinal, the Ministry of Health sponsored Wardens went down to the FMF Fiji Warriors by 19-12.
