The Fiji Airways National Men’s 7s team played several warm-up matches against local clubs and have now settled in well, both physically and mentally, as they prepare to face Argentina in their opening match.

Head coach Osea Kolinisau shared this today, noting that the squad has been working intensively on both defence and attack, aiming to sharpen these areas ahead of the first game.

He added that they are also reviewing footage of their opponents, and the players are eager and motivated as they look to defend their title at the Dubai tournament.

Kolinisau is positive of a good outing this weekend and are urging supporters to come and cheer the players on.

Fiji’s first pool match is against Argentina at 9.10pm Saturday, followed by South Africa at 12.16am Sunday and France at 4.12am on Sunday.

The Men's Cup semi finals kick off at 10.06pm Sunday while the Cup final is at 4.11am next Monday.

Meanwhile, the Fijiana 7s begin their Dubai 7s campaign against the USA at 7.20pm Saturday, followed by France at 9.59pm, and New Zealand at 1.27am Saturday.

The women’s semi finals will begin at 9.12pm Sunday, with the final at 3.35am Monday.
