Fiji Airports has handed over an interim dividend of $10 million to the Fiji Government for the financial year 2022.

Prime Minister and Minister for Public Enterprises, Sitiveni Rabuka acknowledged the staff for their hard work and dedication while receiving the cheque.

Rabuka says it is encouraging to note that despite the challenges faced during the pandemic, Fiji Airports has prioritised capital projects such as the infrastructure plans for Nadi Airport and the outer islands.

He says it is important and critical as the visitor arrivals for the last few months has surpassed pre-covid levels.

He also commended the Board and Management for consistently reviewing and implementing cost-cutting measures and progressively planning without dismissing any staff.

Fiji Airports Board Chairman, Hasmukh Patel says in the past six years they have paid $175 million in dividends to the Government.
