Fiji 7s works on improving discipline

Discipline is one critical area the Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s side are working to improve as they prepare for the HSBC SVNS Dubai 7s at the end of the month.

Coach Osea Kolinisau says he has spoken to the players about the issue, and they are putting in the effort during training.

He says last season, yellow cards cost them several matches.

Kolinisau says discipline is very important and that champion teams are always disciplined.

He adds that one of their key focuses during training is ensuring that if they lose, it won’t be because of disciplinary errors.

Kolinisau says they want to make sure they have seven men on the field at all times to keep each other accountable during games.

Fiji is pooled with South Africa, France, and Argentina.

The Dubai 7s will be held from the 29th of November to the 1st of December.
