Fiji & Solomon Islands draw 1-1 in their first OFC Women's Nations Cup

The Digicel Fiji women's soccer team drew 1-1 with Solomon Islands in their first group match of the OFC Women’s Nations Cup at the HFC Bank Stadium.

Australian based Vanisha Kumar scored for Fiji in the 25th minute.

Solomon Islands captain Ileen Pegi equalized from the penalty spot in the 36th minute.

Fiji's captain Sofi Diyalowai was named player of the match.

In other matches played so far, Samoa beat Tonga 2-0 and Papua New Guinea defeated Vanuatu 3-1.

Fiji will now take on New Caledonia at 7pm on Sunday.
