Father charged over daughter’s death in Korolevu crash, another man charged in Ba fatal accident

A 41-year-old man has been charged following a tragic road accident in Navola, Korolevu, which claimed the life of his 10-year-old daughter on Saturday.

The 10-year-old girl was a passenger in a vehicle driven by her father, which veered off the road and hit a post.

The man appeared in the Sigatoka Magistrates Court on Monday and has been granted bail.

The matter has been adjourned to the 26th of November.

In another accident, the 27-year-old man alleged to have caused the death of a 40-year-old woman following an vehicle accident along Kings Road in Vitogo, Ba on Friday night has been charged.

He appeared in the Lautoka Magistrates Court on Monday, charged with one count of dangerous driving occasioning death, and one count of driving a vehicle without being the holder of a valid driving license.

The man has been granted bail and the matter has been adjourned to the 4th of November.
