A 21-year-old farmer will appear in the Sigatoka Magistrates Court this afternoon after Police raided his farm and found 5,000 marijuana plants.

Police also found 30 bags of marijuana and $5,500 cash alleged to have been obtained from the sale of drugs.

He has been charged with one count of unlawful cultivation and two counts of being found in possession of illicit drugs.

Police have acknowledged the support of Korolevu and Namoli villagers in Navosa.
