A 38-year-old farmer from Wainibuku has passed away after a road accident on Monday.
It is alleged that a 33-year-old driver hit the farmer who was walking along the side of the road.
He was rushed to the Nakasi Medical Centre where he was pronounced dead.
The road death toll now stands at 39 compared to 61 for the same period last year.
