A 24-year-old farmer of Lokia, Nausori is in police custody after the vehicle he was driving allegedly hit a 61-year-old woman on Koronivia Road in Nausori yesterday.
The woman was returning from the service station when the incident occurred.
The man who holds a provisional license was allegedly under the influence of alcohol during the incident.
The woman has been admitted to the CWM Hospital and is in a stable condition.
